I don't believe the MODS are going to be able to help you out.. Maybe ban the user, but as far as money situation goes..

More details on what happened, whats the persons username?

Drove 10 hrs from SC to FL to pick up a 95 civic ex ls/vtec
Car blew a rod through the block on the way home had to pay 700 in towing fees cause he was being a douchebag and not answering his phone

Long story short i ripped the block apart and found 3 je 9:1 pistons and 3 eagle rods and 1 stock piston and 1 stock rod i have all the pics to prove it.

Alot of the parts he listed in the motor weren't there. Car is a piece and the deal wasn't as-is i want my money back since i already got a lawyer and i'm taking you to court for this situation unless i recieve full refund for the car and tow.

There's more to the story which i will give details later....

damn, that's a crappy deal. I hope you have some sorta paper work to prove that was a transaction between you and him.

 

if theres no paper work or contract between you 2, youre fucked. hell just say you did that. sad but true.

 

i have the title in his name,bill of sale and our emails as well as our phone calls which my cell phone bill shows...Hope it's good enough

He said all the car needed was a valve adjustment
He failed to mention the trans grinded, didn't rev past 5k, missing a bunch of parts he listed in the ad

I'm not trying to blame you either, but just asking you what your lawyer will ask.

 

I don't mean to kick you while you're down, but i don't think you gonna get anything from him

 

If you call around the block a test drive he had no plates for me to take it on the highway...The problems didn't occur til about 3hrs away... I had a feeling something was fishy about the whole deal but i was desperate for a car.
If he told me it was a shitbox from the start i would have offered him less money and then got it towed home.

 

Sometimes being stupid and impatient is painful. Live and learn son.

 

i dont think youre gonna get anything from him, the best and easiest way to solve your problem is to go back to his home, knock on his door, deck him in the face, and beat the **** out of him in his own house, then go back home and relax. Trust me, youl feel alot better.
