Default 06+ DX Air Conditioning

So I see the DX cannot be purchased with a/c .. has anyone added a/c to a dx? Is it as straight forward as on EG/EKs?

I searched but didn't find anything...

where the hell do you get your information from!?!?!?!?

YES it can be installed... but if your going to do that might as well purchase the LX so you don't have to pay up the *** for the parts/installation

I guess that is dealer price.. might as well get the LX for that.. I Was more curious about getting the parts from a wrecked car or someone who decides to take the a/c out for a turbo kit or something like that..

I vote for the LX too. The money you save upfront won't be worth the amount of money you'll have to spend later.

wow you can get civic's for invoice there? A few people I az i have seen post haven't gotten dealers to budge much under MSRP. I am not really worried about the price difference.. just being cheap and trying to get only the features I would use.. no a/c in AZ wouldn't work and I was trying to see how much I could save going DX vs LX.

Travelling to buy the car probably wouldn't work either.. I would more than likely be trading in 1 or 2 cars since I have too many right now and I'm looking to get rid of at least one.. and one is my gf's 01 sonata that I can't seem to sell.

Why don't you just get the DX-G, all the electric components + AC + some other useless things for a price in between the DX and the LX

i got my DX for $14k flat & free accessories (mud guard, trunk tray) in February of 06.

AT that time, they wanted $14,600 + $600 destination charges = 15200.

Speaking from first hand experience, yeah get the LX. The painted mirrors/door handles, power door locks/mirrors, A/C, and radio are worth the upgrade. A/C alone costed me $1900+, and that was the cheapest among three local honda dealerships. Could've gone as high as close to $2300 installed. And NO, "DX saves you some weight so you can go faster" is not good enough to settle for one. On the bright side, the dealership that installed mine, did a great job that it looked like it came from the factory. Comes with 3 years/ 36,000 mile warranty just like the car itself.

Your right, I barely got my LX for $17,200+TTL. @ Showcase
They hooked it up at that price only because it had 1,700mi.
And I wanted it because it was the only 5-speed in the lot at that time.
I know the homes here are cheap but why are the cars so friggin much more out here
