Turbo H22 Aftermarket Intake Manifold options
Hey guys,
what aftermarket intake manifold replacement options are available for boosted h22's? other than skunk 2 there doesnt really seem to be anything out there. im especially interested in something that is designed for boosted applications. its a shame edlebrock doesnt do one for H series
suggestions or comments, even pics of what some of you h series guys are using.
Thanks

ok, yeah they sell it as a 'Turbo' intake manifold so i am assuming its aimed at the bosted market. not much info on it though..... anyone got any other options or pics/results from what they're using?

I had an AC Autotechnic one on my H22, i think GE now makes them for them. At the time they tested an additional 27hp just from the manifold on a bone stock car, if its boosted you will see alot more then that.
Not sure what kinda budget your on, but try Hogan manifolds

We use them on our TT prostock car, very nice craftsmanship, and have seen some pretty big gains when we switched to it.

I can see it making 27 on a boosted app easy, but no way in hell it would do that on a stock h22. Were they testing it on an LS7?

i didn't see the 27 hp gains.....when i talked to AC they had tested it and were telling me they have seen +27hp. I agree that is alot and the sales guy may have been bullshitting me (maybe was boosted and not NA like he said) they also had info on their site at the time claiming the +27hp.
It was on the H22 that he said they saw it, i had mine on an H22 2.5L never knew baseline so don't know what a difference it made. I was just passing along info i recieved, not trying to BS and start a flame war.
Hogan manifolds are pricey our V8 was north of $2600, and they have a 4 banger version for $1200 i believe. Quality is top notch, and won't be disappointed.

i dont have anything against them, i'm just looking for options soley designed for boost.
I dont have a massive budget that will allow me to get a custom one made nor will it allow me to try and test different ones. im just looking for what options are out there and what people have tried and what results people have gotten.
As far as i know there must be a significant difference between a manifold designed for boost and one designed for n/a applications. so in saying that, a manifold that is said to be good for both n/a and boost wont be an optimal design for each specific application, im not saying it wont work, im saying that it cant possibly get the most gain for n/a and also get the most gain for a boosted setup based on the same manifold design.
