Stock P72 with Mild LS/Vtec Build. Need Tuned?
I just got my car back from getting worked on and it feels pretty freakin sluggish compared to what the similar setup did in my friends car. I know the weight between cars isnt everything. I popped open the ECU and noticed that its a stock p72. I am currently running this setup.
11:1 Compression Pistons
Eagle Rods
Skunk2, Stage2 Cams, Skunk2 Valvesprings and Retainers.
I got my *** kicked by a LS swapped 96 Coupe. nothing special, just an LS swap.
Do you think that the p72 is insufficient for my setup or is it running fine put putting around town just a coverup for not being OK at WOT?

Yes. Get it tuned ASAP.
I don't know how you haven't melted a piston or two from the massive detonation I'm sure that occurring in your engine.

get it tuned, when I was driving my ls vtec em1 untuned, it would be alittle sluggish after the motor was running for about 10-15min... now the only time it's sluggish is when im over shifting
Tuning is next to nothing ---- that is for sure a must in or during any build. it can mean lasting for 20,000 miles or killing a motor in 500 miles
