a couple months ago my CEL light went on. i dunno why, i turned off my car and it hadnt turned on for like a month, and now its been going off everytime i get on the freeway basically. i dunno why, my car runs exactly the same with it on...anyone got any idea what it could be?

and honda doesnt know anything cuz i brought it to them. and they said there isnt a problem, but obviously there is if the CEL is on.

 

Umm, Jump it to see what the code is. Does the CEL only come on when you basically drive on the interstate then when you shut it off and turn it back on, It goes off? If so, I would check your o2 sensor. Prolly throwing a CEL 1. Just my noobish 2 cents though.

The connector to jump I believe is behind the radio or around that area, I don't have a prelude but I hear that's where it's at for ludes. Sounds like it could be ur egr if it only turns on at cruising speeds, but then again it could be anything. The connector behind the radio should be a little blue connector with 2 pins/wires. Stick a paper clip in the connetor so that ur jumping both wires, then the cel light will flash the code. Long blinks= 10's places and short blinks = 1's places. Good luck.
