jdm ef climate control
well I think CRX would be harder if it is the entire center console. similar to the JDM integra. the CRX center console is angled toward the driver. obviously part will not match up to a USDM dash.
Honestly, it is not worth what you are going to spend...
i got one in a deal a couple of months back and took the dash out, original unit and tried to install it.....waste of time on my part! A couple of plugs connect and operate, meaning you can hear a motor running ( opening and closing something) but there is plugs that have no where to go and US plugs that are not being used.
you need a wiring diagram from the UK or Japan.
i googled it and found SOME things, but not all what I needed!
If you do get it and if you get it to work, post up!
Good luck

I remember a long time ago there was a nice thread about someone who had it almost 100% in his US crx... Does anyone remember the link? I've got most of the wiring I need I'm pretty sure. If anyone has a write-up we'd be interested.

it requires other components they do not include with that piece and the harnesses as well.
its borderline dishonest to even sell those like that to people.
The Temp control is cable driven manual in usdm crx's, (just like a bicycle brake cable) so you cant just remove the usdm panel, its not so simple. (as was said in the post above)
There is a way to do it, however if your really determined to do it using just that piece:
Buy it, install it, and then relocate you usdm cable temp control to the glovebox.
Thats the only way to keep a functional heat and a/c system and run JUST the jdm panel as password sells them, without the rest of the jdm components.

I appreciate that thought, but I still know there's a link to a wiring diagram of someone who has done this in the past. This winter my car will be fully dismantled and I think it's time this bad boy gets installed.

its not a thought, its just some true info for the Original Poster before he goes out and gets something he may never be able to use.
if you already have one, and want to use it, thats cool. after you wire it up, you just relocate the usdm cable panel into the glove box.
anytime you want to change to the temp, you pop open the glovebox and make the change.
electrically, you can do everything from the jdm panel, like a/c on or off, switching zones, like vent, floor defrost etc.
did your panel come with harnesses attached?

Yeah, I have the entire harness and all temp. sensors and everything. I just haven't had the time to put it in, and wouldn't really know where anything goes. I'm sure at least one person has done this. And I know there used to be a thread on it a long time ago.

That's kind of the question I've been asking... Does anyone know how to hook it up?
