Default Check engine light wont turn off after mods

Hi, I have a 1998 prelude. After putting on a highflow cat, full catback exhaust, and intake, my check engine light wont turn off. I talked to a guy down at the place I got my exhaust put on. He said I should get a new o2 sensor. They hooked my car up to the computer and it told them that my highflow cat is throwing the code. I am sure some of you have put on highflows, did you have this same problem? any suggestions?

Thanks

my brother has the same problem with his hi flow cat. its the 02 sensor. he never got his fixed, i dont know if replacing the sensor would fix it since ur sensor more then likely works fine. ill ask him 2 morrow what they said he needed to get his light to shut off.

thx. The only way I get it to turn off is if i reset my battery. Then after about 20 miles it would come back on again. This concerns me only because of inspection tests.

you have to get and install an o2 sim, the check engine light that you are getting is catalyst ineffeciency or catalyst below threshold, the computer is just throwing that code, because of the high flow cat, and its sensing that the cat is not doing its job
