Default MSD BTM Wrong wiring?

I've been trying to hook up the msd btm... Only the first time I tried it, I hooked up up using the msd 6a btm instructions... cranked it over, and got no spark. So I checked the wiring, and then realized I had it hooked up all wrong (had it hooked up as the msd 6abtm instead of the msd btm) and rewired it the way it was supposed to be wired. Now it still has no spark.... Is there a possibility that I could have fried it when I cranked it when it was wired up wrong? Or is it a wiring problem?

Please don't flame me for using the BTM, unless you have the money to buy me real engine management.

Thanks.

(Not flaming)

You can afford an msd btm, yet you cant afford to chip your ecu which would serve as a fuel management solution & eliminate the need for your btm ?

i'm sure there are plenty of tuners who will at least give you a street tune for $100-150. That will be at least better than what you are doing.

Well, the btm came in a package deal and I don't have any extra cash on top of that. I will be getting it tuned as soon as I get the money.
