JRSC GSR Spark Plugs?

Default JRSC GSR Spark Plugs?

I just bought some two step colder NGK spark plugs for my JRSC'd GSR and was wondering what i should gap them to?

A good rule of thumb is for every 50hp increase, tighten plug gap by 0.004" from stock gap.

i dont know how much hp increase there is though. the car is street tuned, not dyno tuned.

a jrsc is good for + 50 to +70 hp... ( on avg.) so since stock gap is .34... gap down to .28

.28 is actually tight for a jrsc. I recommend .34+ Your not creating enough pressure to blow out the spark, and a gsr's ignition is quite powerful. You dont even need to run colder plugs. I always ran NGK bkr7e's, and that was with high boost.

Stock gap is .44 I believe
