b20 vtec kick in

b20 vtec kick in
I recently had my b20 vtec set up done by quicken motorsports out here in orange county, Im not sure if my vtec is kicking in properly though is it suppose to kick in after every single gear at approximately 5400-5600 rpms?

you cannot possibly be serious.. anyways depending on what ecu set-up you have for your motor vtec can be engaged at a specific RPM for instance you will hear the crossover. just drive it in first gear slowly and see if it engages you will defiantely hear it, are you getting any CELS? (check engine lights)
