Default 91 crx dx

hey wandering on the input of a possible 'project'. I dont know if it would be more trouble than what its worth....my buddy has a 91 crx dx with no motor and tranny in it...would it be worth it($500) to buy the shell and go from there? or are the dx's not really worth it..im used to the newer hondas-95 and above so far...and i dont know much really about the crx thing...any help is appreciated

the good thing about crxs is that they are light and i guess the whole dx, hf, si thing doesnt matter if it is just a shell if you are gonna be throwing a new motor in it anyway so ya i think personaly its worth it i used to have a 89 crx dx it was fine the motor was a d15 but if you are getting a shell then ya i think it is worth it
