How much WHP can a stock S2000 Rear End hold???
Apparently not much past 600whp

Seymour getting friendly

This is our Turbo S2000, we went out an played with the 2Step feature with the AEM before a race we are going to attend tomrrow. Well, one good 4500 rpm launch later, pieces were on the ground.
We are fabbing up something now to fix it before tomrrow. Nissan rear end FTW

well we got Import Showdown tomrrow, so we have to come up with something FAST.
heres what we settled on:
240sx Rear End/Diff, welded of course lol
Spacer we had to weld to allow us to use the stock S2K driveshaft. Its Saturday so we cant get a Driveshaft made.

Adapter plate to make the S2K axles bolt to the new 240 housing

About to pull it out of the shop, ill let you guys know if it work/holds over the weekend.

That R200 will hold pretty good power. If for some reason you do break it, invest in the R220 out of the Z32. It is stronger than a 9" ford.

UPDATE:
at 12am drove it up to Taco Bell cause we are hungry, past 55mph it ran great, purred like a kitten. Handled a launch at 4500rpms too.
I guess tomrow at the track is the real test

What is the FD ratio for that differential?
Been lookin at an upgrade for the rear of my ap1 myself.
Definitely the area where Honda goofed. RWD sports car with a weak rear end.

If it was out of a 240sx, and is stock geared, it should be right around 4.10

240sx is a 4.11 rear end.
good news is the Diff held BEAUTIFULLY today at the track, the bad news is the mounts to the rear end housing DID NOT. We broke those
ill have pics tomrrow, we should have some solid mounts done by this weekend.

look who it is, Mr. Hater is back. I never said we were the first people to do it.
but if you would like to share YOUR personal experience with Nissan rear ends in S2ks, id love to see or hear about it
