slamming my crx
Whats up guys. I've searched and came up with next to nothing. I'm trying to slam the crx but really don't know what coilover setup to get. Everyone tells me that omni powers and skunk2's don't really get the car that low, and I'm really trying to put this thing on the ground.
Lemme hear what you guys have in mind.
Thanks

coilovers on an ef are a shame get some aftermarket struts and some lowering springs and a camber kit unless you want to buy tires every year instead of every three months
why do you want to SLAM your rex whats the point it will ride like complete **** and you will hit everything thats not flat just lower it a little like 1-2 in it looks nice and rides good still
Have you had a slammed ride before? Try this, cut your stock springs and drive around and see how long you want a slammed ride. I bet some of us went through this phase before and two weeks later we go burn our hard earned money on a new set of struts and springs(coilovers). It's not all what it seems, its not worth it unless you have time and money to waste.
Ef chassis cant be slammed like eg's. upper control arms will hit inner shock towers. It will also ruin your ball joints, shafts.. etc etc
I used to use h&r ultra low coilovers, but the car was insanley low, uncomfortable and daily driven. wasnt fun. car hndles like crap.

My Crx as it is setup right now is just about perfect, looks and most of all handling. very happy with my setup now.

Cant remember. I think $900 USD (SELECTS). I was one of the first ones to buy them for my crx with the rates I have. My old crx is actually on the front page of their website. http://www.picperformance.com

Interesting.
I still remember when you bought the H&R Ultralows and then came here and told us how wonderful they were and how your car handled like it was on rails...

well it was an upgrade from stock..
the setup I have now is night and day (due to stiffer spring rates) than my H&R Ultra lows.
Plus I have sway bars too now.

I wanna slam my car because I wanna slam my car. After having 2 eg's and an ek riding frame I miss that stance.
If sparks aren't flying your not low enough.
I also know about the control arms hitting the shock towers. I was going to cut the top of the towers out and weld in a place for the upper control arms to go... check out this dc2:
Note the modified strut towers.

Preach it Rob. Thats the truth if I've ever heard it...
Anyways, check out what I found in the "slammed" thread.

Pro arms lca's. Supposedly drop your car 1.5 inches and retain the stock ride.
