Default Type-R Everything...

Hey guys,

I'm almost sure that I want to put all the Type-R accessories on my car, and was wanting to see your suggestions on where to buy the stuff for the best price, and best service. I've looked at inlinefour.com and passwordjdm.com, and those two seem to have plenty. Also, I wondered if anyone knows of all of the available Type-R accessories out there. Since I will probably never own a Type-R, but I want my RSX to be as close to one as I can possibly make it.

Satisfaction.

These websites really helped. I just grabbed these things:

1. Honda/ITR badges
2. ITR Shift ****
3. ITR door sills
4. JDM Fog Lights (Yellow)
5. RSR Ex-Mag Exhaust

I had those on the checkout! I took them off because I didn't want to cut my bank account that close tonight. I will get that, along with the center piece with the shift boot too. I think I'll also get the Type-R spoiler at that time.

I'm surprised that I'm not. I have debated doing the Type-R stuff for a while, and decided to go with it. I don't really care what other people think, I will do what makes me happy. But trust me, I put my flame-suit on when I joined HT.

What's up with all show before the go? Especially if you are putting on ITR stickers, you need the K20A to go with it. Have you already done suspension, wheels, tires?

No sir. This is just the way I chose to go. The suspension and tires/wheels are next. I will wait about a month. That's my next question for advice.... what suspension setup is recommended by the good folks here at HT? I was thinking about the Tein Basic Damper set.

With wheels, I already know that I want the White ITR wheels...but we'll see about that, because I assume I would also have to change the hub...I'm not sure on that though, will those work with the stock RSX hub? Anyone know where I can find the best deal on a set of those?

They'll work best with an ITR Brembo hub & brake conversion because of the high offset (+60) of everything.

If you truly want to do a full ITR setup, then why are you going aftermarket for certain items? Real ITR badges with a normal DC5 motor?

Yeah, you're gonna get flamed.

Because honestly, how different is a Type-R motor from a Type-S motor. Yeah, they aren't the same, they are constucted slightly different, and I would really like to have a ITR engine, but that's pretty low on my list of priorities. I don't really care that I will have ITR accessories and badges even though I have a stock engine. I love the red accents that accompany all things Type-R, I think it's a very clean looking setup. Hopefully the engine will happen in the future, but it certainly isn't the first thing I'm gonna get.

What about the torque, high rev limit, 4.7 FD, Valve Cover, Spark plug Cover, Black Dipstick, JDM Oil Cap and a Lighter Flywheel?

Not to mention you still have a spare K20A2 for parts or to sell for some money back.

Well what about the Australian DC5R? It only has the K20A2 motor in it and comes with Type R badges. Yes it has the Recaros and LSD, but that is about it from the Jspec DC5R. So should all the Australian owners get flamed for having R badges?
