Default crx hatch window

Since having a lighter car helps improve speed, would it be possible to replace the hatch, and the two windows of a crx with plexa glass? or am i just thinking dumb?

From my experience taking the windows out of my crx I found that the rear quarter glass weighs next to nothing and the rear hatch isn't that bad. You would most likely want to use lexan if you were to replace the windows. You would also have to use some half decently think lexan so that it does not distort. In my opinion unless it's a race car it's not worth it.
