How was it suspicious? Was it driving on the road without plates?
You can always error on the side of caution and have the cops check it out. Would rather call in the calvary on a legit caR than fail to act before an R is stripped.

<--Here's hoping all is legit

If I were you, I'd let the cops know, if I saw it again. It might be a little embarassing if its legit, but at least you're looking out for Rs

dont be so quick to judge fellers. Maybe he had a temporary permit stuck on the inside of the windshield. You dont need plates if u have the temporary permit. Besides I dont think someone is gonna be driving around in a stolen car especially without plates. Thats just not smart.

Thanks for pointing it out dude. I don't give two ***** about "judging" someone falsely, or accusing someone of stealing that car, but if I see an ITR with no plates driving around, or on a flatbed, or just being towed, I'm calling it in right away.

It was right of you to post this. Now next time, call the cops right away

Judgement has not been rendered here, however the above mentioned circumstances do warrant further investigation.

Thieves are smart? New to me. I guess if they were smart, they would have a high paying job and could purchase an ITR.

good lucking out, however if you were that suspicious you should have notified authorities.

if you own an ITR, you understand. otherwise, you dont. and as stated above, most car thieves are not smart.

I just had a 1997 stolen in April from Montreal. It was 1997 #220.

Cracked front lip and scratches on passenger rear corner of bumper.

Totally stock.

Should I release the hounds ?

i do own an itr and calling the police is useless, they dont care. My car was stolen 6 months ago and the police know who stole it, but still havent done anything yet. besides, it would have taken the police probably 12hrs due to being "too busy" and by the time they go to that guys house the car is gone.

the police here dont even know what a itr is.....when mine got stolen the officer said "integra, whats that? who makes integra"? and im not even kidding

yes I do own a type-r but I was just saying that it could of been a temp permit, which it was. This came to mind because I drive my type-r with temp permits all the time too....lol. Infact this weekend is a big season finale drag event at cayuga ontario and I will have my temp permit so dont call the cops on me lol.

Oh and saying that thieves are not smart is just childish. be real now, if they werent, then we wouldnt be layering our security systems and freaking about parking in a public place. they are very smart and we shouldnt disadvantage ourselves by underestimating them. We just have to be smarter.

From that pic that ITR has many different shades of CW on the panels.

What's the history of that vehicle?

u know what *******, one day when your car gets jacked and u post it on the forum "to keep a look out for it" like most people do, i hope someone actually does spot it and has an attitude like yours.....that way u wouldnt get ur car back.

Eventually, u will begin to appreciate people like me that care

i didnt see temp plates anywhere, thats why i assumed it may have been stolen.

but its funny though how everyone bitches about itr being stolen or whatever, than when one looks suspicious everyone turns a blind eye. Nice to know that if someone on here saw my car being jacked or stolen and driven without plates know one would care.

looks like i got more people complaining about my post rather than giving a ........from now on i will just mind my own business and only worry about my own car

Don't take it the wrong way. I believe it's a good thing to look out for stolen cars.

I think some people here are taking it a little too far in saying the OP was out of line. I'm still trying to decide whether or not seeing a car without plates warrants a calls to the cops, that part to me is still in the air.

No one wants to be pulled over by the cops. Heck, when I first bought my car the tags were expired and I got pulled over 3 times. That wasn't fun but at least it shows that someone cares.

Should you not help others anymore? It's your call... But if I see an ITR being towed around with a boot on it, I wouldn't hesitate to call the cops. Some people are out to do good and most are by-standers. If you try not to impose your standards on others, you'll be just fine.
