it does work but the engine needs to be running obd1 in order for it to work with the p28.

either buy from http://rywire.com/store/ or try to wire up yourself. Check the FAQs on the CRX/EF Civic Forums top of the page.

dont believe what they say. research the information yourself. there's plenty of info on this site.

bottom line: that ECU wont work. its a VTEC ecu, yours doesnt have VTEC. so why use it.

PG7 and PM7 are both too rich for the SOHC ZC.

The PM7 is for the DOHC ZC, and uses a little more fuel than the SOHC ZC. The PG7 is for an old school teg motor. D16A1 I believe, I don't really know.

Anyway, it runs even richer than the PM7. It actually hurts power in the SOHC ZC. My A/F guage was pegged rich the entire time I drove with it. normally it bounces. It never moved with a PG7.

Cliffs: SOHC ZC = D16A6 = Use a PM6 ECU.

The JDM D15B I have needs a PG7 or a PR4 since it has trouble starting with the PM6. It seems like it needs more fuel so I use an DOHC ECU. I know it runs rich but it runs better for me.

Appendum Cliffs: JDM D15B = Destroked D16Z6 = Use a chipped PM6 (With correct maps) or a P28.

i understand that...But you can run obd1 in a crx, which, i believe was what the fella was referring too....
His buddy said he was running a ZC with a p28...and all i'm saying is that it is possible.

Yeah, so was his motor the VTEC OBD1 version or the OBD0 version?

Man, I noticed that with mostly stock/just bolt ons EF's, it's the tranny that decides the speed. Get the Si tranny. Call it a day.
