I think the poster was saying that he found it harder to part with his M, not with me parting with my "M". Mine was not an "M", it is an "Xi"

He might have done what I did and thought it was an m5 at first glance? But... it's obviously not. And M3's don't have 4 doors... at least not that year.

Anyways both were clean cars... hope your happy with the upgrade. (or more importantly, hope she's happy. haha)

It was mainly an upgrade for the fact that the wife is 6 months pregnant and we wanted/needed a slightly larger car (5-series size).

Minvans and SUVs are/were not an option. It had to be a car. Honda/Acura didn't offer anything aside for the RL. The RL is great, but not what I wanted (another AWD drivetrain).

5-series looked dated because of the new body style. The new body-style was too expensive.

MercBenz....no thought to it at all.

Lexus/Toyota reliability convinced me. Plus, my dad has been a Lexus faithful since '88.

That being said, I think I will be putting my daily driver Integra up for sale at a rock-bottom price (IMHO). I may replace that with a 5-speed Element.

...oh, and the Element (or whatever the replacement), will be black.
"Once you go black..."
"Black is beautiful"
"Black shows your care"
"Black is sophistication"
"Black is..."
"Back in black"

All those quotes are out of commercials, advertisements, and popular sayings that refer to black colored things. I believe each one of them.
