13x6 Lightweight Wheels
I'm looking to get some 13" wheels for a H5 Civic HB for the HondaChallenge next year. I want to run 205s but also have a good set of Hoosier 225s sitting in my garage.
I've been looking at the following:
OEM Honda Wheels - EF Stock alloys and Civic VX (looks like it's only 5 to 5.5" wide)
Panasports 13x6 - $235 per wheel (hard to find used so have to buy new)
Volk TE-37s - $345 per wheel (way too expensive)
Diamong Racing - Steel wheels but 11lbs each and only $75 per wheel (lots of circle track guys use these)
New Finds (updating this for those after me to find this information faster)
Lenso VPD - only come in 13 x 8.5 size (mainly made for drag racing)
Superlite (made in Austrailia) - come in several 13 x 6 + sizes (mainly made for Fords and Minis)
Am I missing something more obvious?

I didn't know these were available. However after talking to some experienced racers they recommend the Panasports as they are made specifically for road racing to handle the abuse (where they noted lightweight wheels designed more for drag racing will deform over time due to the load associated with road racing) and can lead to a catastrophic failure.
I noticed you have Funktion Auto listed in your sig...I a guy who works there and went to a track event hosted by them a couple years ago. - I used to live in Herndon, VA til this year.

the VPD 13x7.5 can be used for drag racing and road racing purposes. We've sold numerous sets for road racing and autox use the past 4 years.
They actually weight about 9lbs each.

a good friend of mine works there. Stephen P.
and i do some decals for them on occasion.
they have a nice new shop the past 18 months or so, in a big industrial area of just Automotive shops
Piper Motorsports, Gran Touring (restore ferraris, exotics)

Just read the HC rules...max wheel width is 7" for all H2 - H5
I'm going to pick up a set of Panasport 13 x 6 (they can take a 205 size tire) and this will significantly cut down the rotational inertia (car came with some cheap heavy aftermarket wheels with 215s on them), meet the rules required and last for a long time.

that might give you some squirmy tires though
i'm sure you can get the panasport in 13x6.5 or 13x7
try SUPERLIGHT also. they are panasport clones. and much cheaper.
i think i saw some 13" panasports on ebay just yesterday

do you know anyone here who sells Superlights (found a UK website for the mfgr)?
Found a site:

SuperLites are made in Austrailia and PackRacing Products is the only US vendor...you can get a set of 13 x 6 with 4 1'2" offset for $165 a wheel (good price when I was looking at almost twice that for Panasports)
