Default port and polish head

hey guys .. i have a question that u guys kno but unfortunately i dont know it because i dont understand ..when u port and polish a head, do u have to use oversized valves ? .. what different places on the head do u port and polish and what is the advantage of it ? .. thanks for helping me out

Come on guy... I dont want to be a dick because I'm no expert honda guy but seriously search look at any website where they port heads- You port where the air goes, you dont need to get oversized valves I suggest you port nothing asking a question like this though. Send it out.

send it out there are numerous shops that port heads. they can get you where you wanna be, if you have the money to

as far as valve size. Its not always necessary to go oversize on the valves. It actually depends on the setup you're doing, whether its turbo, all motor, using certain type of cams, street or full race setup, etc. There's alot of factors that will determine if and when to use oversize valves.

Keep in mind that some setups may not need oversize valves and may hurt the performance. For example, street driven GSR with mild cams(stg1s) with ITR pistons. You dont really need the big valves since you do want to keep some velocity through that head.

Some head specialists may think differently, but it also depends on their porting style and where they are taking of material from the head and its flow characteristics.
