Default GSR head or B16a head?

Hey. I am in the process of building a N/A b20 VTEC and dont know which head to use. I have a gsr head with a skunk2 intake and i also have a b16a head with a skunk2 intake. Which one would give the better numbers and is better for the bigger bore of the b20?

dude there both gr8 for a b20. The heads are also the same except the gsr has smaller combustion chambers which raises compression. So basically u would get better numbers from the gsr cause of the increase.

I would go with the b16 head here. The runners on the gsr skunk mani don't line up with the head. The gsr head would yeild more compression, but will not flow as much as the b16/skunk combo. Sell the gsr head and manifold and use the money for some itr copy b20 pistons.

i was told that vtec on a b20 is a bad idea because of the long stroke of the b20. are engines with a shorter stroke (ie. b18, b16) are much more suited to this or was what i was told incorrect?

i am in my "research phase" right now. i want to build up an engine from scratch and i was going to get a Dart b20 block and do vtec but I was told to do the b18 instead.

any insight?

gsr head, it will make a big difference, go to importreview.com they have a dyno chart of a b20vtec comparing a b20vtec with a gsr and a b16 head the gsr made alot more power then the b16 head
