I jumped the gun... Is this a good speaker?
I was over at best buy looking around and I wondered into the car Audio section. I look around wondering who the hell would buy some of this stuff... I look over in the corner and I see a 10 inch Pioneer sub for 50 bucks. Well, I kinda bought it and I hope that its a good one. Help me out a bit here please. Like I said, its a 10" Pioneer IMPP 400W and the mag. on the bottem has been chipped just a little bit. (I got it at that price because it was an opened box item) Anyway, I only bought it because I just wanted a little bit more kick, not much, and I like Pioneer. So, I repeat. Did I do the right thing?
Thanks guys!
P.S.
Also, it says Enclosure Use (1 Cu foot). I take it thats how large of a box I have to get/make? One more thing, what do I need to hook this up besides wires? Thanks again guys!
Edit : the back of it also says TS-W28C if that helps...

Sure, whynot. Pioneer makes a very good quality subwoofer. Like you said, your just looking for a little more bump. As long as it is in good shape you did fine.
Yea...for $50 bucks you probably did pretty good. You asked about the enclosure size.....the 1 cubic foot is how big of a box you should use with that sub...if you biud it yourself make sure that you figure the size based on the inside dimensions....not on the outside....buy that I mean you have to take the thickness of the wood into consideration to find the actuall amount of volume that is inside the box. I assume that it uses a sealed box...if so make sure you seal all of the edges and joints on the box with silicon or something similar for the best results. And as far as hooking it up...you will need to run RCA cables from the back of your head unit to an amp. The amps power wire will come from the battery, and then just wire the sub to the amp.
I think that is everything and I hope it helps you out.

Thanks a bunch guys!! I just went out and got some damn good sealent and 3/4" HD Fiberwood. Now the last major thing I need is an amp...
