parts list for d16sohc v-tec swap for 89' ef
Hello I am new here My name is Scott and I work for a honda dealership. I picked up a 94' ex coupe parts car 78k rear ended hard. I want to do the swap into the ef and eventually boost it. I am wondering who has done this swap and the required parts to do the job minus the the obvious(engine, trans, ecu) worried about a harness(who makes them?) axles (94' or 89') wich to use? linkage? so really Im just looking for a parts list or any forseen problems with this swap, or tips to help make the swap smoother on me. Thanks dope forum guys!
Items you will need for the swap.
88-91 SI transmission
OBD 0 to OBD 1 Harness
OBD 1 O2 Sensor
You can use your old shift linkage and if your car is an SI you can also use the axles.
Hope this help.

Rywire.com makes all the electrical stuff you need. I hear they are awsome! I have done this swap on a 90 si and i just needed to do the wiring thats it. Also you will need to use some washers on the drivers side mount where it bolts to the block in the front.
thanks guys, appreciate the help- new issue though I was just offered the jdm d15 sohc vtec all needed parts for the swap $400.00!!! Havent heard much on this engine but it is coming out of an ef due to a new b18c5 swap, should I hop on it?

$100.00 for this harness looks like what I'll need for either swap

what model is your EF? STD, DX, SI? do you plan on converting to OBD1 so that you can use VTEC? as long as the JDM D15 is the OBD1 VTEC one (not the NON-VTEC one), then it is very similar to the D16Z6 that is in the '94 EX.
