Default Taking the Rice out of the Ricer.

Aight so no offense to anyone but we all know that most of our cars sound ricer. My question is, is there any exhaust kit that gives it a low deep tone? My celi has that tone but it has custom 2.5 inch piping and a kyo racing muffler. Is there any kit or any combination of custom work that will take away the rice sound? Thanks for readin and no offfense to anyone

Don't use a gutted cat/straight pipe, it should sound pretty good, along with a chambered muffler.

My car doesn't sound ricey. Stock exhaust with h22a, can't even hear my exhaust but Vtec SCREAMS. If u want a quiet exhaust get the Ws2, I hear it's the quietest exhaust u can get.

I had a DC header, omni test pipe and HKS hipower exhaust on my old teg, it sounded pretty throaty, but wasnt too bad on the highway.

A twin loop muffler will do wonders.

The skunk-2 is a great deep sounding exhaust but is loud. Now I have a universal 2.25" 14" long magnaflow muffler on the rest of the skunk-2 cat back and love it. magnaslow kicks ***.

i have a custom exhaust and its low, throaty, and sounds great. its different then all the other honda's around my area but the only problem is its loud. i love it but its all driver preference. i hear kid's GSR's with the greddy evo and it sounds so whiney ricer it makes me thank god i didn't buy one.

everybody should post up an audio clip of their exhaust sounds and a small description of any exhaust modifications + engine modifications. Would be a great thread to people wondering what kind of exhaust to get on their car.
BTW i have a full 2.5'' Vibrant exhaust system.

Speak for your self, my ride sounds raw. Maybe because I have a DC sports exhaust, It is not a straight thru design exhaust system. If you wanna have that ricer sound go for a straight thru design, if not go the other way(chambered design).

I also have a stock catalytic converter, good luck

one thing ive noticed on straight thru, is the bigger the body of the muffler, the smoother is sounds.

i have had N1 styles, which have like a 5inch diameter body, and my muffler now has a huge 7in body, and theres little to no rasp compared to the apexi n1, i has an evo2 on my 97 type sh lude, and it sounded good, until sum1 hit it and smashed it into a cube =P

TypeRider98 what size pipe did you run on your custom job? I can get custom piping cheap and that would be the best way to go for me if it sounds good. I am also installin a turbo so its gonna have a turbo manifold. so pretty much what size pipe from the down pipe back. Thanks evryone else for the suggestions I am going to look in to a couple of them. Maybe the gredy cause i was lookin at their turbo kit. Thanks.

it's 2.5 inches. a friend of mine went to a muffler shop in my area to get his done. i checked his out and it looked like the guy knew what he was doing. the bends were smooth and it hung perfect. i went the next week and got mine and i've had it ever since. i paid just a little over $200 for a 2.5 catback, i just brought my own muffler i got online.
