i want to change the light that shines on the gauges but i dont know how to take off the thing covering it...i unscrewed the screws but it wont come off...how do i take it off?

 

Keep pulling on it until it comes off.

 

you sure its not going to snap?i tried that and the left vent things fell out.. i had to anp em back in...is there something else im supppose to do...should i remove my steeing wheel?

 

I thought that yours was similar to mine, but now I see that it's not. See if there are any screws behind the vents, but I doubt it. The only thing I can suggest is keep pulling til it comes off. The trim ring on mine had 2 screws on top, and 2 clips on the bottom. I thought the trim was gonna snap when I tried to get the clips to release. Eventually, it came off. Move the steering wheel down all the way (don't remove it) to give yourself more room.

 

ok ill try that...but is it possible for me to change the light that lights up the dash?

 

i still cant take off the dash...its stuck and i broke the thing between the 2 vents it cracked....

 

two screws located underneath the climate controls...

you must remove the center console/armrest section to access it.

 

yea man get a haynes manual, i have SO many screws to take out and i got a 4th gen when i took my dash apart, deff look behind all the vents for screws
