D4 Blinks!?!

Okay i have a 94 Accord its my daily driver and for some reason my D4 blinks in the cluster on my dash. Some told me it was my TCU. Is this correct?

In the 6th gens that means something is wrong with the trans. Mine was blinking and it turned out to be a mechanical malfunction. You should go get that checked asap

any other suggestions? Because my tranny shifts smooth but every now and then it will only shift at 3K then when i cut it off then start it back up it shifts correctly again.

The D4 light is just a Check engine light for the transmission. Bring it to Autozone or somewhere, and get them to check the codes for you. Then come back and post the results.
