chip in crank pulley harmless?

chip in crank pulley harmless?
i was just wondering if a chip on the crank pulley would unbalance or mess anything up? chip is the size of half a quarter 25cent peice

The stock pulleys arent event balanced from the factory. Just get it balanced if you are uneasy about it. when I had mine done it cost like 30bucks or so.
