Default How to maintain the paint for a 2006 EX-L?

I am a newbie for car driving. Really no idea about maintainence on the paint.
Please give some suggestions.

I read the manual, for oil change, the indicator can tell when I need to change oil. Will my car be OK if I just depend on the indicator?

In order to keep your car's paint looking good 1st make sure you NEVER go threw a car was with it. It can scratch you cars paint up really bad . I usually wash my car about once a week if I drive it much but it usually just sits in the garage now. I would recomend using Black Magic car wash soap or you can use the Mr.Clean auto dry with a good quality lamb chamie. Just the auto dry cost a little bit more money to keep up (really works though, No drying required). And as for wax I use either Black Magic or 3M. Both are pretty good and can find at Wal-mart of any parts store. You can use a cleaner/polish to get minor scratches out and then come back and put a sealer wax on. As for appling the wax you can use a wax applicator and put it on by hand or use a orbital buffer. The buffer is quicker and I think works a little better. I usually put a good wax on about every 3 months. Also if you get bird poo on your paint wash it off promptly and if you get sap on it use either rubbing alcohol or rain x to get it off.

Good luck
Hopefully I covered it for you
