RSX-S or New Si?
Sup everyone?
Not really sure where to post this so I thought I'd try it in here
I'm looking into getting a RSX-S or a new Si
Not sure which one to go for
Don't really know to much about Honda/Acura
Which one would you choose and why?
I had an SRT-4 for a little and it got old
Don't get me wrong I loved that car, but it was just to raw for me
I want something with a little nicer interior, some refinement
So which one would you personally get and why
I'm leaning toward the RSX just because it looks better IMO

Go drive both and tell yourself which one you like and why
Then you might want to go buy the one you like.
You might not like either of them and decide not to buy either of them.
Enjoy your car shopping experience.

The current Type-S is as good of an RSX as you'll ever get. The current Si, also, is as good of a Civic as you'll ever get.
Style? Subjective. I don't like discussing style.
Performance and handling? Si for sure, especially with the LSD and redesigned suspension. It will handle better than the RSX (or EP3 2002-05 Civic Si) platform because of the new design, whether stock-for-stock or mod-for-mod.

Umm. the dc5 has been out for a couple years now. The dc5 will have a lot more aftermarket parts to support it than a fg. So don't buy a civic if you are worried about aftermarket parts.

ok u definately dont know what the hell ur talking about...
anyways if i were you, i would go with the SI.. i really like them, but their not "JDM" cars like the DC5 since the FG's was designed in Canada. Still a kick *** car.. Anyways it may have a little bit less hp, but the LSD makes up for that. So go with the FG.. Dont forget that honda puts a **** load of technology into their cars, so what ever you get will be a great buy...

lol..you perfer the rsx over the type-s? last time i checked. type-s is rsx...hey look, i'm right, cuz i own a 2005 RSX Type-S...
the new si looks alright..i like it if it has the HFP kit, and if its lowered too...you should check out Type X's 06 civic si..it looks so damn sexy.
but theres one bad thing about the 06 si.. it has the "rev hang" but it can be fixed..but it will be 99% fixed...it will have alittle bit but you can really notice it.
i will be happy if i gotten an 06 si...i like both cars.

for some odd ball reason the civic coupe looks hasn't grown on me. the back reminds me of the new gen of camry's.
off topic, i read somewhere that honda will/is releasing a four door civic si, any truth to that?
i'm also in the market for a si, rsx-s, but i'd really prefer a four door, and the four door si would just suit what i need..

two very simlar cars ive driven both and i own a dc5
i.m.o....
civic - awsome looking car,, LSD!!! awsome seats but when i sat in it before i got my dc5 i was like WTF? its an interior you have to get used to espesilly with the slanted shifter and long long dash and honestly thats what kept me from buying it.
RSX-S - great car if i were you id go with the 05+ because you get the k20Z engine and i feel thats alot better than the bast k20a2 engine i mean it even has parts from the type - r in it, great interior, leather gets on my nerves tho, nice shifter, but lack of LSD:-( but 210 HP ! :-) and greatgrwat amzing stlye i wash mine once a week

I've thought the same thing, and I keep telling myself, "Thank goodness Honda threw the new Civic all over the press and with lots of ads before Toyota brought out their new Camry; maybe people will think Toyota copied Honda."

Yes, it's true, a four-door Si is on the way. Same drivetrain as the coupe, but with 4 doors.
