So I had some weird vibration problems ever since I lowerd the car a bit more, turns out today i noticed a small amount of oil comming from around my tranny area..

so I jacked up the car and noticed that the axle had been moved about 3/4 of in inch out of the tranny,

comming from a nissan background im not sure what is needed to place the axel back into the tranny properly and since the search is down aswell I couldnt search...

any help would be wicked since I have to get to school tomorrow

push it in unill the snapring catches....

 

take the nut off, and hit it in with a hammer.

 

get a small board and put it on the back of the inner part of the axle, through the wheel well and hit the board with a hammer until the axle pops in, shouldn't take that much of a hit, just a quick wack. The axles can be slid in by hand most of the time when the outer part isn't into the hub. Good Luck.

dont....but it might be easier

think about it, with the nut on, it's tied to the suspension. if you try to hit it in with the nut on, you'll be fighting the suspension. take the nut off, it'll make the job alot easier.

 

just curious does anyone know what would cause the axel to pop out?

there hybrid axels with an integra halfshaft..
