no hp or tq gains like advertised. Just better throttle response, like a lightweight flywheel. Don't get a solid crank pully (ie no damper) cause it'll kill the bearings. Do a search for crank pulley and you'll understand.

go unorthadox racing they have all the pulleys that you will need.. i got the ps, at, and under drive pulley.. and that made a big difference in response time. the under drive pulley gives you some power i think about 7 -10 horses or something like that but i could be wrong.

Wow, that's a bunch of crap

They will give you a small percentage increase in power if you go all out, as in: remove PS and AC, get UR crank and alt pulleys and no balance shafts. Otherwise it's not going to do much...

a crank pulley must be balanced. most aftermarket pulleys are , but that is not the only thing to consider. the factory crank pulley has a harmonic damper in it, if you notice the rubber insert between the inner and outer part of the pulley. this is VERY important. the easiest way to explain why it is so important is this: any running motor has vibration in the rotating assembly(crank, rods, pistons) this vibration also known as engine harmonics, must be absorbed somewhere. without the harmonic damper in the crank pulley, the vibration will be transfered into other areas such as the oil pump gear, over long periods of time or short periods of the worst harmonics, parts WILL start to fail. this can cause your oil pump gear to shatter, as well as your crankshaft to break among other problems. this is just a short, easy explanation. there are everal other more scientific ways to explain harmonics, i would suggest checking into it! there are also aftermarket companies who make pulleys w/dampers in them such as fluidamper just to name one. only prob. is they are usually very expensive roughly around 500. keep in mind you get what you pay for.

I've read that whole thing you just typed 50 times before...it's not news to anybody. I have had my UR pulley for 3 years now with no problems as have many others.

Harmonics sarmonics...... blah, blah, blah. If the harmonic balancer was sooo important, dont ya think the car manufacture would have you replace the crank pulley after so many xxx amount of miles, so yur engine didnt fall apart in a thousand tiny pieces.. cause with all that vibrations your talking about, that little rubber insert would fail after 50k miles, then what ya got??
