h22 or turbo
i have a 6 gen accord. from what iv read , depending on how u turbo the car, can be faster than a h22 swap. thing is upkeep with matience and making sure everything is to a fine tune. so i was thinking to jus swap a h22. thing is say later in the future i want to turbo it, knowing that its high compression, how much more work be invovled to turbo it?? and for a h22 would it matter on what year the engine is 92-95 or 97-98( whats the diff)
im in the same boat you are in...its a hard decision.
To sum it up, swapping the H22 will be alot more relaiable for daily driving than the turbo set up. Is money an issue? To make the turbo setup run well, you cant cheap out.
I say swap the H, then build/turbo it later.
Good luck bro

edit:
its not easy to reliably turbo an H22. Over 8 psi, the block must be sleeved with the use of forged internals or you are gonna go BOOM pretty quick.

Also, consider the total price evaluation. Turbo for instance you are wasting your time if you do not rebuild the motor before boost. Also a tranny rebuild might be in order. The h22 is the way I went and I just recently got it back off a fresh build complete with forged internals 12:5:1 compression and stage 2 skunk cams. I am in love with it. Also do you want to just drag the car? If so build it and boost it but if you want a handling auto x car, the h22 is great. Both great ways to show everyone that the accord is a great car in all kinds of ways.
