Ok, heres the story. I was recently looking in to purchasing another car, so i can start working on my civic hatch. At the same time, my sister is selling her 98 Accord V6. Or at least thats what i think it is. So we worked out an agreement where ill pay her monthly for it. Now here are the questions: 1-is there a manual transmission i can change to? 2-is there an oem cluster guage facing that i can change out from the automatic gear facing? Thanks in advance.

 

the transmission is very very hard to come by, they are from the second gen CL type S.


don't bother with the cluster, unless you can get the CL cluster with the tranny.

just to warn you, there's an alarming rate of tranny failure in 6th gen v6, check your vin before purchase.

 

Was there a recall or anything about the tranny failure? Or do they tend to crap out after a certain number of miles?

 

there was an extension of the warenty to 10 years 100,000 miles i do believe. correct me if im wrong? I have an 00' with i believe to be the original, has 112,XXX on it and runs like a champ

 

The one im getting has 178,xxx miles on it.
