hey guys my 97 itr ecu is acting up. it wont let me rev over 6500 rpm and my check light comes on. the car runs fine but just wont let me go over 6500 rpms. this ecu wont show me any codes. but wit my p72 everything is fine. has anybody ran into this problem or heard of it.

 

I think your checking wrong. I'm pretty sure any time the check engine light comes on, you'll have some sort of a code. Sounds almost like it's in limp mode. I would check your oil level first, add if needed. Once you do that, I would disconnect your negative side of the battery for 5 mins and then reconnect and start the car and see if the problem still persists. If the check engine light comes on again, get the code or take it to somebody who can pull the code for you.
