need help guys my tranny is popping out only in 5th gear. what is causing this and what do i need to do to fix it?

 

This belongs in the tech forum but....

check the oil level, they usually do that when its getting really low....which also means there is likely a leak so check for that too.

If thats ok, there may be a damaged shift fork. Sometimes people get into the habit of resting their hand on the shifter when cruising in fifth. That leads to wear.

 

Happened to me to I was low on tranny fluid, cause I do have a leak
