Default Header=REALLY loud exhaust????

So I installed my header and now the exhaust is REALLY loud. I thought I had a leak, but i cant seem to locate it, then I read that a heard will make the exhaust louder. But this seems really excessive. Will the header make it louder, if so by a lot or just a little. Can I correct it with a different exhaust, I am just worried about the CA cops.

It shouldn't be considerably louder.

What kind of header was it?

anything that allows your cars exhaust to flow more freely is gonna make it louder, you can try a different muffler, like a twin loop or a magnaflow

I must still have a leak, there is no way a heder can make it that loud. I mean I dont even turn the radio on it is so loud.

There shouldn't be a noticeable difference over a stock header. Not enough to where it would alarm you. DOes the car bog down at low rpms from lack of backpressure?

Yes it bogs, but I am not sure if it is the exhaust.

I am still having timing issues, This weekend I need to fix a few things and it looks like finding the exhaust leak will be one of them
