Power Acoustick
Anyone have any experience with their amps? I was considering getting one but im not sure. I am using a punch 360.a2 and have NEVER had a problem from it, but unfortunately it is my roommate's amp and he is wanting to put it in his new car when he picks it up (maybe tonight) so what do you think i should do? any suggestions on amps? Im lookin for around 400 watts. His came with a birth certificate saying it is rated at 454 watts. I want something comparable. It sounds damn good on that amp. Btw, It is pushing an alumapro bp-10 (basically an alchemy 10 in their box)
I have one of the Power Acoustic "Fire and Ice" series amps on a 12 in my car. It is an older model and I have had it for several years but it hasn't given me any problems at all. Mine is rated at 490 watts....but I think the actual output on them is closer to 300....at least the way it is set up in mine. All of there stuff seems to be pretty high quality...except for the older subs. THey fixed that problem with the subs though. Personally I think they are a pretty good amp for the money.
power acoustik amps are the best bang for the buck i have ever seen. ive had about 6 amps in my car, and i like poweacoustik the most. fosgate amps are good, but who would pay that much for so little power... i am running a 2200 watt 1ohm stable power acoustik two channel amp to power my subs, and a 540 watt 4 channel for my mids. ive had a 360 watt for my subs a while ago, and i never had ANY problems with it. i sold that one to get the bigger amp. ive had the 4 channel for over 2 years now, and it has never skipped a beat. the 2200 watt amp has been around for just over a year, and it is great. i would say get a PA amp if you can. theyre a little underrated, but if you pay the price you pay for a fosgate amp, youll get a lot more power. the sound quality on them is really good too.
