Default Quick question about '04 Accord V6

I have a 2004 Accord V6 fully loaded (minus nav) and have a question about the door locks.

You see, every other car I have owned, when the driver side door was opened, the lock, when in locked position, automatically unlocked so you didn't have to manually unlock the lock.

Well, in my '04 Accord, this feature does not work! You have to manually unlock the locks (either by pulling them up or using the lock/unlock button) to be able to open the door. Is it just my car or are all '04's like this?

They're all like that. I wish they weren't, but they are.

Really? My old '88, my current '99, and my girlfriend's old '95 NEVER unlocked simply by pulling the inside handle. And not until I added an aftermarket alarm would they unlock on their own. Dealership installed alarm systems might do it, but the OEM alarm and car itself don't.
