do you know what is required to bolt in a y8 black as opposed to a z6 i have dealt with z6's forever and i am not so sure on the wiring differences between the 2
None that I am aware of except for the knock sensor and you don't have that on the Z6 so you just don't hook it up.
I am running the engine in an ED with a stock P28 right now so your Z6 wiring and ECU should see everything on here and run with no problems.
The Distributor from the Z6 won't bolt directly up on this engine so you may want to keep my Y8 distributor.
The tranny will bolt up to any d-d so that's not an issue except fo the 88 Si tranny has a different spline count, but your Z6 tranny will slide right in to a Y8
