90 Accord: Engine Dies with High RPM, Starts Up Later
My 90 Accord with over 200K has it's fair share of problems, but I've found a new troubling issue in the past few weeks. This has only happened 3 times, so it's hard to tell if it's getting worse or changing at all.
Basically, it seems that the engine is shutting down when I give it a jolt of throttle. The last time this happened, I was probably in sceond gear at 4000 RPM, when it died.
This is the strange thing: the car subsequently will not start at first. But, in an hour or so, she starts right up with no problems. The first time, I had called AAA and had given up on it, and I tried starting her up on a whim. Well, she fired right up about a half hour after breaking down.
Any ideas what this could be? It seems that there is some type of problem with the fuel delivery or something, but I really don't have a clue.

EGR Values plugged?
Car is fairly old, EGR problem usually causes stumbling off idle.
Just a thought. Haven't heard of it stopping a motor. Might under the right circumstances?
