Default Header 2 piece or Header 1 piece

Ok heres the deal...I have a 92 si hatch z6 I have put a AEM intake, throttle body spacer, full Apexi exhaust with a high flow cat and an OBX 2 piece header. I just got a deal on a new DC Sports 1 piece header and I would like to know which header would be the best to use for performance. I like the fact that the DC has a mount for the stock bracket at the collector to hold the header up. Plus I thought DC is one of the best headers but I have heard mixed reviews. Please give me some help here.........Thanx

They're both about the same, no major difference.

What performance? You've spent like $1000 and gained what, 2-4whp?

I wouldn't waste money on a new header, unless you build it n/a.

Essentially a 1 piece (or 2piece but slipover not bolt on flanges) is better I think because it flows better and less weight.

But going from a OBX to a DC is not gonna be tremendously different. Especially on a Z6

I know I'm probably going to come off like an ******* for saying this...but I'ma say it anyway. They're all the same for your car. A D16Z6 is almost the bottom of the food chain for a Honda engine. ANY header you put on it as long as it's in one piece (aka. not leaking or cracked) will give you a maximum of 5whp as the engine remains in it's current condition. You may feel a difference, but you're not going to be able to take one header off and put another on and be like "oh yeah, that made a shitload of difference" - so just go for the cheapest non-ebay brand.

The only measurable gains from a header on a d16z6 .... are on the butt-dyno.

Copy & paste, I would be glad to.

There's no way on for what's all intents and purposes a STOCK D16Z6 will yield more than 5whp with a STREET header.

Always said stock, read what I wrote "as the engine remains in it's current condition" meaning not a year from now when he decides to drop a GSR in there.

He said I was changing my story when I simply...didn't. That's why he didn't post back - I wasn't trying to be an *******, just stating a fact. 3000 posts of nonsense, eh? If you believe all 3000 of them are nonsense then howcome you've read every single one after the first...say 10? You'd have to to know every single one of them is nonsense, wouldn't you?

Dick.

There is that. As well as ease of installation. For some, anyways.

Everyone know 1 bank of cylinders = 1 header. But the cool people have 2 headers for a 4 cylinder.

i think your confused. the mid range and high range are differences in 4-2-1 and 4-1 header

yeah, 2 piece is more for easier installation. IMO its easier to do a 1 piece. Instead of bolting **** down in a tight area (if you have a/c,p/s) just yank that **** up lol
