Default Broke Axle On Street Tires All Motor, Hoping For times on Slicks on NOV. Will my Stock Axles GO?

Well Guys, I ran my All Motor K series Car on street Tires(AVS ES 100s) in the past in NJ on their Atco-Hella-Sticky Track... I broke an axle in second Cause of the Crazy Wheel Hop! Im thinking that with Slicks Since i will get alot more better traction with i wont break my stock axles again. Is this the right logic or am I in the wrong? Someone help out a newb to Slicks!

Preloading is your friend... many people are very successful on stock axles

Gsr stock axles are good to 300 hp thats if you can hook up (slicks). I haven't heard what the stock k trans and axles can hold but it sould be reliable though.

I agree sounds like your not preloading them right and you noticed it go on that hard 2nd gear shift.

Probably sheered it clean off right?

i bet you ll have less breakage on slicks, the bigger slick absorbes the shock a bit more than your stiffer street tire.

i remember your car down at atco breakin axles, your car was also sittin pretty low from what i remember, make sure the axles are sitting straight when your car is at ride height and not angled up or down into the hub.

if i also remember correctly you had the jdm r swap which has a shorter gear ratio, so you might need at least a 13 x 8 x 23 if not a 24 in tall tire so you don't have to go to 5th

hope that helps.

will you be at englishtown for fall nationals?

Who is this? Yea im thinking at least 23 inches. I'll see if i can makie it to English town, When is that event? Im From VA BTW.

Thing is, i didnt break the axles like clean, the boot went. And i replaced the whole boot, and from a hard run on the street the same thing started happening. What do you guys think would cause the inner CV Boot To Rip? Its strange IMO...

What is your opinion on shifting to 5th? Do U feel that could be hurting times? Should I just go with 24.5 tall slicks?

i was one of the guys who pitted next to you guys, I am actually the video guy for THESPEEDLOUNGE.COM my crew was TEAM ALPHA had a spfwd and all motor car that weekend.

24.5 's is prolly the way to go then, shifting into fifth is just another gear you need to let off for and maybe another missed gear. stayin in 4th also will keep you in your power band.

Englishtowns fall nationals is this weekend its a NHRA event, best weather of the year to run, lots of recrords are broken and made at this event.

hopefully you can make it up.
