i just finished putting together my car... a 94 gsr shell with gsr everything cept the motor... its a b18a1 turbo... i had all of my ground connected in the right place, nice and secure. when i go to turn the key, i hear a click under the dash and a click in the engine bay from the fuse box in the engine bay. i dont hear the fuel pump prime, i dont hear the starter trying to turn over. clutch all the way in, no start... could this be dianosed as a bad main relay? when i dont have the clutch pushed in, i just hear a click in the engine bay, but when i have the clutch pushed in i hear the click in the engine bay and under the dash? from what i remember from my old integra. when i would try and start the car iw ould never hear a click under the dash it would just start and thast it. could the relay be stuck somehow which is leading to getting no power from anything to get the car started?... please helpful answers would be great right now but from what a friend told me this is the problem and buying a new relay is the solution... help needed asap

 

Even if the relay was bad the starter would still turn over. Sounds like one of a few things, first check and make sure u have the clutch switch connected, if that's not in or broken, it won't allow power to the starter. Simple and easy, but make sure ur battery is good and has enough juice to turn the starter. Check ur grounds, and check ur fuses.

 

new battery. grounds are good. fuses are good. im not even hearing the fuel pump prime... i changed the main relay and still the same problem... this is driving me crazy, i can't figure out what the hell is going on

 

wtf man im getting so heated... no fuel pump prime, no signal to the starter... the only thing im hearing is the clicking under the dash and the click in the fuse box in the engine bay... can someone please chime in adn help me out with this. all grounds are good, all plugs are plugged in... someone gotta know the deal...
