I would think you could just lookup the gear ratios and do the calculations yourself. But I will say, that when I'm running to redline, the mph I shift at is the last thing on my mind.

Are you trying to ask what the maximum speed you can reach at each gear to redline is?

Depends on how I am driving at the time. Normal everyday driving, nothing about 4000 RPMs. If im taking my car for a spritied drive, I'll use all of that 6800 RPM redline.

1st- 33mph
2nd- 56 mph
3rd- 84 mph
4th- 110 mph
5th - 124mph*

note- LS's are geared to go 150+. This is actual top speed on a stock LS due to aerodynamics. Top speed of a stock GSR is 133, according to Road & Track, 143 for the ITR.

at what rpm is that on each gear.

basically what im trying to figure out is what tranny i have. its not stamped. so im trying to go based off of what mph im at in a certain gear at a certain rpm. i have a 92 integra wit a b20vtec in it. i was told the tranny was an ls when i bought it but i have reason to have doubt. (the gears arent super long). tomorrow im gonna see what rpm i shift @ at a certain gear and what mph and see if anyone can give me an idea of what tranny i have. cause according to the link, my tranny is the most similar to the itr tranny.

I'm going to assume that RPM is at the 6800 redline of an LS.

A magazine test is different from real-world tests. THe testers prob didn't wish to take the time to fully top out the car. It takes a while to get a stock LS past 125, but yes you are right they will go 130+.

The way I would do it. Go cruising on the highway. In my RS, at 70 mph, its taching about 3200 RPM. In a GSR I believe its closer to 4000.

Heh you shouldn't be cruising 40 in 5th. Having a car bog down isn't good for gas mileage. 4th gear would be appropriate for that speed if you are concerned about gas mileage.

For the sake of yourself and other drivers, please control that lead foot of yours. That is stupid and very dangerous.
