same thing happend to my friends integra rear caliper was seized your best off getting neww ones before the problems gets worse your break pads will be gone soon if there seized up that bad...
Is this a front or rear???
Fronts push back in, rear screws (as you said) they are usually a bit hard to start then easy after that. I used a L time tool I had for something else.
You could try to break the bleeder screw to see if that helps, of course if you do that, and it moves you will have to bleed the system.

I just had to replace my right rear siezed caliper and boy was it a pain with all the rust and corrosion from a 12 year old car. I ended up having to cut the bolts holding the ebrake bracket in place.
A 30 minute job ended up taking 3 hours. It sucked.
Good luck replacing yours.

huh? Does the Helm's manual specify doing this?
I have never heard of having to disconnect brake lines and completely remove the calipers just when changing pads and/or rotors.

yeah bro mine seized on me around jul. Couldnt screw back in so i replaced Oem, best to do both sides but nothing wuz wrong with the other side on mine. been fine ever since.
just my 2cent but it could be ur caliper bolt. see if you can get those out of the caliper with relative ease if not then replace that see if that helps they are only like 14 bucks or less at autozone or advanced.

this happend to me i thought the caliper was toast until i saw the little rubbers around the caliper bolts/slides were all torn up... there was no movement what so ever they were seized as hell... it took a torch, pliers and patience to get them free... so i got a new braket, rubbers and bolts/slides from Advance Auto for i think like $20 lubed it up good and haven't had a problem since... try pushing on the caliper while its on the car to see if there is movement if there is then this isn't the problem... all an all good luck i know this **** gets frustrating as hell
