Default Question about the K20a lower block bolts

I am assembling my k20a engine. On the lower block I have a question about what bolts go in the circled areas. It appears it is just a threaded area and the helms does not mention anything reguarding these. They do not lead to any oil passages.

My only guess would be for the guide dowels on the oil pan, although I do not know for sure.

Bump for an awnser though.

those bolts are used by the a3 oil pump. the a2 oil pump does not use them.
