I would say go with the k20 if you could afford it... they're kinda high but mass amounts of power. h22 is a lot cheaper but I think it would be easier to put in but not the power of the k20.

why you want to recommend a torqueless motor to someone with a heavy car?

140 tq for a 3000+ car?

140@7000rpm

I have yet to see a K20 in a 5th gen accord have you?(not saying it can't or hasn't been done). So to answer your question a H22 swap would be far more cost effective.....

definately k24 or h22 not k20

k24a2 or k20/k24 hybrid will offer more power potential at much greater cost

h22 are great motors and proven and for the cost of the k swap you can make more power, but ultimate power potential goes to the k

The K20 equals the H22 in power for at least double the cost.

H22 - simple, cost effective, fun.

Or turbo F series

H22a. k20 is ok. i mean the type r is amazing but rare and fucken hella expansize. soo i would go with the h22a since the trq is there and the hp will match it. and besides after market parts are every where

I'm not trying to be a dick but this has been covered soooo much, and i don't even come on this forum that often anymore. Search for K20 in the accord forum, its ridiculous.

First off, you wouldn't want the K20 because as stated above it is too small and lacking in torque. If you want any K motor in you accord you want a K24.

Second off, no one has really done the K24 swap in the accord yet except for hasport, and rumors have been swelling around for a long time now about when the mount kits are coming out. It hasn't happened yet.

And you asked which would be cheaper? Definatley the H22, at least for now. Plus alot less of a headache, it pretty much bolts right in. A few years down the road the K24 could be a fairly cost effective swap, if there is a reasonably priced mount kit available K24s out of accords should be fairly cheap to pick up. Either way, for now the H/F family is the way to go for accord swaps.
