a good paging alarm with a shock sensor, backup battery and extra siren...look into viper systems, 400$ is a joke compared to the value of your car + the piece of mind

A booby trap! Sit a shotgun in the passenger seat and tie a string to the door and the trigger so when they open the door, BOOM, they're dead!

shitty deal, at least your car is still in your driveway

Just sleep in your backseat, and when the thief comes back give him some pointers on how to take the radio out properly

Good luck, damn thieves!

Feed a live wire from your battery terminal to some chicken wire and lay it on the ground. When they arrive, spray 'em down with the hose and cook him medium-well.

I much prefer the bed-of-nails trap advanced in a recent thread.

Put a bunch of nails into a sheet of wood big enough to cover the seat (nails need to be long enough to protrude through the wood). When exiting your car, put sheets in both front seats. Cover said sheets with thin piece of fabric, preferably an old/cheap seat cover.

'course you should thoroughly clean & scotch-guard the hell out of your seats & carpet before doing this. Otherwise you'll end up driving around with blood-soaked seats & carpet. If the person breaking into cars for radios is an addict, you really don't want their blood to hang around.

I would recommend you do this asap. or else you might as well leave your door open for them.

Death by sodomy, thats my vote. But i agree with the poster, 400 dollars for an alarm system w/ backup battery is the way to go.. and if you get it with the pager system, disable the audible alarm and when you get paged bring a pair of plyers and a blow torch and go to work on him/her.

ok i got an alarm with a pager.

do i really need the battery backup?
i relocated my hood cable so they really wouldnt be able to get in to disconnect the battery,

I actually was thinkin about the bed of nails deal. i might try it.
I have two extra beat up civic seats.
fabricate the bed of nails and install them into the bottom of the seats.

I think its either a fiend, or some young punks, who dont know what the hell there doin. They could have taken the whole car!!!!
well im glad that didnt happen.

IM installing a seperate fuel cut today!

I have a perfect view of my car from my room. I also have a 1943 Lee Enfield No.4 Mk.1 sitting in there too. Any one touches my car they get a .303 British round in the ***.

anything DEI is a winner. Viper. Valet, Hornet.. Clifford is the best IMHO. do yourself a favor too, get a 2-way alarm. the alarm will alert your remote and tell you whats going on. piece of mind +1

[edit] too late, good call though.[/edit]
