i swapped in 93 accord motor into my 97....the motor is in there fine...

but here is the problem, i see i am not geting any spark...

1. the 97 had an external distributor the 93 had internal (if i remember correctly)

would this make a difference....or could i still use my obd2 distributor? with external coil if u se the obd2 ecu

2. would it be easier if i use a jumper and a 93 accord ecu? (because i have one)
and if i do that would i need an obd1 distributor? would it matter if it were internal or external?

3. i know i need a new ignition but i can still crank the motor (With a screw driver or a key) would this make a difference?

i get the car to crank but it doesnt start...

basically im trying to figure how to get it started...i know that im more than likely its going to throw a cel...but i can live with that

but im sure somebody on here has done this swap b4 (thus the reason people pointed me here)

if you have let me know anything that needed to be rewired...and changes or whatever that needs to be done to get this started....this would be a big help.
