Default All motor Rebuild..DECISIONS...need help..

I just blew out my piston not too long ago, maybe about 2-3 mouth ago. I'm slowly piecing it back together right now, i'm using a LS resleeved RS machine block. Well anywayz i had a few question hopefully you guys can help me out with.

1.Is it true that you have to warm up your car FULLY...before driving a motor with forged piston? I was planning to get CP piston with Eagle rods.

2.If not, can the motor with forge piston be driven at low rpm intill it's fully warmed up?

3.I currently have skunk2 stage 2 cams with s2 valve train w/stock valves in a gsr head, i was thinking about selling those stage 2 and going pro1, would that be a good idea? I am trying to use this car as a street car.

4.Is the stock valve going to be ok fore No2?

I think you are refering to some forged internals making more noise while warming up because different metals have different properties of heat expansion. That being said, I do not believe you need to do anything special regarding warm up procedures. It's just a bit noiser and can potentially have less tolerance for driving it too hard cold, as in redlining 1st at the 1st top sign as soon as you get off your driveway.

Forged pistons have improved, and have closer tolerances than they used to. Warming up is not a must, but it probably cuts down on wear if you do it regularly.
